Efe Gold was first introduced in 2015 and is made from Anatolian grapes and aniseed. Raki usually matures in stainless steel vats. According to the production standards in Turkey, raki can be added a maximum of 10 grams of sugar per liter in the manufacturing process. EFE-Gold has no added sugar and matures in oak barrels for 120 days to get a smooth taste, distinctive color and aromas. Technically speaking, raki is a clear brandy, comparable to the Italian pomace brandy grappa. In the first round, the pomace from the winemaking was traditionally fermented, then distilled and then mixed with anise and distilled at least once more.
