Brancott Estate Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon is a Red wine from New Zealand and created from a mixed grapes including Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes where harvested in the Hawkes Bay region of North Island of New Zealand. The fruit was cold soaked to assist colour extraction prior to and post fermentation using selected yeast strains. A combination of new and 1-4 years old French and American oak barrels were used for maturation creating a balance of flavour and tannins. It is intense on the palate with flavours of plum and cassis fruit with underlying coffee, chocolate and leather.
