Masseria Altemura Rosato Salento IGT is a delicately fruity, fragrant, full and intense rose wine. Pink colour tending to cherry red of medium intensity. A good and appealing structure is followed by a fruity and persistent aftertaste. A wine for the entire meal, it is particularly adapted to savoury appetizers, vegetable soups and introductory dishes of fish as well as soft cheeses typical of the zone: Giuncata, Mozzarella, Burrata and Stracciatella.

Fruit of one of the most expressive vines of the Mediterranean, Aglianico di Masseria Altemura is the result of research in the vineyard and in the cellar and the commitment to valorise the natives of the Zonin family and the precious contribution of the two oenologists Stefano Ferrante and Antonio Cavallo. Brilliant and bright ruby red in colour. Intense and enveloping, fragrant and full of notes of fresh fruit, especially cherries, wild strawberries and raspberries. In the mouth reveals a good structure, clean, fresh in the fruit and with light sweet spicy notes that are manifested in the persistent finish. Ideal to accompany pasta seasoned with slightly spicy sauces, spit-roasted red meat and tasty cheeses.

Maison Louis Latour presented a dense and creamy 2011 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots. Latour’s family hometown for over three centuries, Aloxe-Corton, is also home to their famous Chateau de Corton-Grancey and vat house. The name Les Chaillots refers to the vineyard pebble-filled soil. The 2011 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots displays a shimmering, garnet-tinted, ruby red colour. The nose bears intense Morello cherry and liquorice fragrances. The wine offers a lovely acidity with well blended, round tannins, and a finish refined by a touch of liquorice.
