• Caffo Vecchio Amaro Del Capo Liqueur 70cl

A symbolic product of Distilleria Caffo is Vecchio Amaro del Capo, a Calabrese, herb based liqueur, the fruit of an ancient, Calabrese recipe further processed and improved with experience acquired over four generations of the Caffo family. Vecchio Amaro del Capo encloses the active principles of plenty of beneficial herbs, flowers, fruit and roots from the generous land in Calabria, infused in the finest alcohol, to aid digestion and give a feeling of wellbeing. Among the 29 medicinal herbs composing the infusions, we recall some of the most widespread in Calabria, due to their tonic-digestive properties, such as bitter orange, sweet orange, liquorice, mandarin, camomile and juniper. Its delicate and aromatic taste also adapts well to more delicate palates, not used to “Bitter drinks” and remember, as the best Calabrese tradition says, they should be drank frozen (at -20 degree celsius in small, characteristic “Capo” glasses) to emphasise the characteristics of the particular herbs composing them.

  • Agwa De Bolivia Coca Leaf Liqueur Nederland 70cl

Agwa De Bolivia has 40 grams of Bolivian coca leaf per litre.

At the heart of Agwa are dry-roasted seeds of Amazon Gaurana and Chinese Ginseng.

The unique, bitter-sweet taste is a result of the distillation of many powerful flavours of S. America, most notably the coca leaf.

Inca messengers are believed to have chewed the leaves as a fuel to propel them at high speed through dense forest and today they are brewed as a tea in Peru to combat altitude sickness.

Agwa is the perfect drink to prepare you for the night ahead and the ideal flavour to stay with you until morning.

Try chilled as a shot or sip it gently with a mix of cola, tonic, ginger beer or bitter lemon …. or in any of the scores of ‘coca-leaf cocktail’ recipes out there.

  • After Shock Red Tenth 50cl

With After Shock, Red Jim Beam serves us a special party drink, which can be enjoyed on its own as well as in the mix with other drinks or as part of a cocktail. The liqueur line After Shock has been sold by Jim Beam since 1997 and is manufactured in Canada.

After Shock Red is the line’s cinnamon variant which was introduced to the world by Jim Beam in order to add an appropriate party drink to their catalogue. An idea that worked out very well for the company. Especially in the UK the drink enjoys great popularity. Here, the rumour evolved that the beverage crystallizes in the drinker’s stomach upon consumption and does not dissolve before the next day’s morning – causing another wave of alcohol to enter the blood stream. This theory is not real, though.

However, it is a fact that After Shock Red knows how to convince the consumer with its bedazzling cinnamon aroma. The cinnamon flavour accompanies the general aroma of the drink as well as its finish, which will leave a sweet but subtle taste on your tongue. Due to its bright red colour the liqueur is perfectly suitable for being enjoyed as a stand-alone shot as well as for spicing up cocktails in terms of colour and taste. In the Christmas season it also makes for a great alternative to hot wine punch once heated up.
